Sleeping Child

What is the safest place to be on earth? It is a ”Mother”s arms”. The warmth and affection you get there can be found nowhere. I wish I could spend my life there. A poetry dedicated to all the mothers in the world.

I wish I were a sleeping child,
Sleeping in the arms of a mother,
Feeling the warmth of her embrace,
Her hands, shells to me smother,
A shell as secured as that of an Oyster,
Her lips singing a lullaby,
A song as sweet as honey,
Singing me the wonders of the world,
Taking me far from faces not crony.
