Internet – the hub of information
Gone are the days when I had to run around to gather information about a product or, service that I wanted. Today, all you have to do is just login on to the world of internet.’, ‘
One of my clients called me up yesterday and told me that he was referring my name to a friend of his who wanted a website to be developed. I agreed to take up the project. When I got the call, I was surprised, when the person at the other end introduced himself as an advocate. For a second I wondered what this call was regarding and why would he need a website.
When he explained how he was loosing clients just because he was unable to provide the required information online, I was shocked. But later I realized that even I for, that matter would prefer to get the information online. Why? Because I do not have to go out in search of information. I can sit at home and research on everything that I want and even order things online.
Websites have now become a medium of advertising about your products and services. They are a medium of interacting with propspective customers, giving them a virtual experience of the product and service that is being offered. Professional services like accounts consultancy, attorney services, even medical services are going online, even to fix appointments. Good, well designed and informative websites are now a part of the business promotions. Is till remember a friend of mine who was able to find a san francisco estate lawyer as per his requirements, in just minutes, from the comfort of his house, browsing through the internet.
Other general purpose websites like the lawyers.com, attorneys.com also provide general information about laws and their implications. The world has shrunk and with a buyer dominated market, businesses have to take the internet route to be in business.
